Due to his bout with polio, Franklin Delano Roosevelt created which charity?
March of Dimes
The March of Dimes Foundation is a United States nonprofit organization that works to improve the health of mothers and babies. It was founded by President Franklin Delano Roosevelt in 1938 to combat polio. It has since taken up promoting general health for pregnant women and babies. The mission of the March of Dimes is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth and infant mortality. Because Franklin D. Roosevelt founded the March of Dimes, a dime was chosen to honor him after his death.
