How many Continental Divides are in North America?
There are six Continental Divides in North America. The most well known is the Great Divide, which runs from the Bering Strait to the Strait of Magellan, which is actually in South America. It is by far the longest Continental Divide. The other five are the Laurentian, the Arctic, the Eastern, the St. Lawrence, and the Great Basin.
