The torero or matador uses a sword with the bull at the end of the corrida or bullfight. Before killing the bull, the bullfighter has a "muleta" which is a red cape over a stick which is used just before the end. The bandillero comes in earlier to help weaken the bull before the bullfighter begins his 'pasos' with the red cape.
