In which city would you find the giant mirrored sculpture nicknamed "The Bean"?
CHICAGO
The Bean is a work of public art in the heart of Chicago. The sculpture, which is officially titled Cloud Gate, is one of Chicago’s most iconic sights. The sculpture, by British artist Sir Anish Kapoor, was unveiled at the opening of Millennium Park in 2004, and serves as a famous symbol of Chicago. Inspired, in part, by liquid mercury, the massive stainless steel structure is affectionately called “The Bean” due to its elliptical, kidney-bean shape. The Bean is 33 feet high, 42 feet wide, and 66 feet long. It weighs about 110 tons — roughly the same as 15 adult elephants.
