Queen Nefertiti was once ruler of which country?
Nefertiti, whose name means "a beautiful woman has come," was the queen of Egypt and wife of Pharaoh Akhenaten during the 14th century B.C. She was perhaps one of the most powerful women ever to have ruled. Nefertiti and her husband were known for a religious revolution in Egypt, in which they worshiped one god only, Aten, or the sun disc. Nefertiti is best known for her painted sandstone bust, which is one of the most copied works of ancient Egypt. The bust was rediscovered in 1913, and is now located in Berlin's Neues Museum.
