The Cheesesteak sandwich was invented in which city?
Philadelphia
A cheesesteak is a sandwich made from thinly sliced pieces of beefsteak and melted cheese in a hoagie roll. The popular sandwich has its roots in the city of Philadelphia. Philadelphians Pat and Harry Olivieri are often credited with inventing the sandwich in the early 1930s. Their restaurant "Pat's King of Steaks" still operates today. American cheese, Cheez Whiz, and provolone are the most commonly used cheeses used to make the Philly cheesesteak. Even establishments outside of Philadelphia refer to the sandwich as a "Philly cheesesteak".
