The cocktail known as a Long Island Iced Tea contains all but which of these ingredients?
Tea
A Long Island Iced Tea is an alcoholic mixed drink made with vodka, tequila, light rum, triple sec, gin, and a splash of cola, which gives the drink the same amber hue as its namesake. There is no iced tea anywhere in the drink. It is simply the color of iced tea. It has a much higher alcohol concentration (approximately 22%) than most drinks due to the relatively small amount of mixer. Robert "Rosebud" Butt claims to have invented the Long Island iced tea in 1972 when he entered a contest to create a new mixed drink with triple sec in... well, Long Island of course.
