Prosecco is an Italian wine controlled by DOC or DOCG. Under these wine laws, Prosecco can be spumante, frizzante, or tranquillo. It is made from Prosecco grapes, but EU rules allow other authorised grape varieties to be included up to a maximum of 15%.
