On this day in 2009, Farrah Fawcett lost what had been a long struggle with anal cancer. Usually, this would have been the biggest death story of any day. The problem is that another death hit the world completely from the blind side that same day. News of Fawcett's death was largely overshadowed by media coverage of the death of music icon Michael Jackson. Michael Jackson, one of the most commercially successful entertainers in history, died just a few hours later after suffering from cardiac arrest caused by a fatal combination of drugs given to him by his personal doctor.
