Hey! Hey! Hey! Fat Albert was an animated television series created, produced, and hosted by comedian Bill Cosby, who also lent his voice to a number of characters, including Fat Albert. The show was based on Cosby's own childhood gang growing up in inner city North Philadelphia. The characters first appeared in a prime-time special in 1969, and the resulting series was a Saturday staple for many years. Following years of accusations, Bill Cosby was found guilty of sexual assault in 2018 and sentenced to three to 10 years in prison.
