Today, only four of them remain — The Bold and the Beautiful (CBS), Days of Our Lives (NBC), General Hospital (ABC), and The Young and the Restless (CBS). General Hospital is listed in Guinness World Records as the world’s longest-running daytime soap opera since the demise of As the World Turns. General Hospital premiered on April 1, 1963, and holds the record for most Daytime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Drama Series, with 13 wins.
