Who is the only president to receive a Rhodes Scholarship?
When British businessman Cecil Rhodes died in 1902, his fortune was used to establish the Rhodes scholarship, which brings outstanding students from around the world to study at the University of Oxford in England. The only president to have been a Rhodes Scholar was Bill Clinton, the 42nd President of the United States. When Bill Clinton finished college at Georgetown University, he won a Rhodes Scholarship, to study at Oxford. Clinton never completed his degree at Oxford and went on to Yale Law School. In 1994, after Clinton had been elected President, he received an honorary degree and fellowship from the University of Oxford.
