Who made his first film appearance as an extra in "Field of Dreams," sitting in the bleachers at his hometown's Fenway Park?
MATT DAMON
Matt Damon and Ben Affleck's acting careers go way back to when they were teenagers living in Massachusetts. Neither Damon nor Affleck were getting any speaking roles in films, so they had to settle for gigs as extras. In fact, they ended up as extras in the 1989 classic, "Field of Dreams." There were thousands of extras, so it's unlikely that you'd be able to spot them in the bleachers at Fenway Park. Although they had no lines, they had the chance to meet Kevin Costner. Years later, Damon and Affleck got their big break when they wrote and starred in the Academy Award-winning film "Good Will Hunting."
