Who wrote the gothic novel Dracula?
Bram Stoker was an Irish author, best known today for his Gothic horror novel Dracula. The novel introduced the character of Count Dracula and established many conventions of subsequent vampire fantasy. The novel tells the story of Dracula's attempt to move from Transylvania to England so that he may find new blood and spread the undead curse. Stoker published Dracula in 1897, though he died before the fictional vampire would achieve widespread popularity though numerous film and literary adaptations in the 20th century.
